About Cockpit Arts
Cockpit Arts is London’s leading studios for contemporary makers and an award winning social enterprise.
We host tours for educational institutions, special interest groups, shoppers and others from London, the UK and internationally
You can visit London’s leading studios for contemporary crafts and the UK’s only business incubator for makers and designers while complying with social distancing.
Cockpit Arts is an award-winning social enterprise, home to 145+ makers working in 24 craft disciplines. Join us for a virtual tour using Zoom.
We will introduce you to Cockpit Arts and what we do and you will visit one of our makers in their studio. Find out about our impact, learn about jobs in the creative industries – and routes to get them – and hear from a maker first-hand. There will be plenty of time for your questions too.
St Paul’s Girls School recently joined us for a virtual tour and their teacher said “It was fantastic, we really felt like we were in the studio with Onome”. Feedback from the students in the Year 10 group is below.
We welcome a range of different groups to the studios including, but not limited to, secondary schools, colleges and universities, special interest groups, collectors and craft/design enthusiasts.
University, college and special interest groups studying art, design and craft disciplines will gain an invaluable insight into the professional working world by virtually visiting makers in their studios. We can also share Maker Stories of craftspeoples’ varied routes into craft and their successes.
Students and groups with an interest in social enterprise and business can gain an exclusive insight into the UK’s only creative incubator for craftspeople.
With an array of craft disciplines including ceramics, textiles, leatherwork, millinery, jewellery and more and everything from start-ups to scale-ups, small batch producers to international exporters we can tailor your tour to your interests.
The cost of a virtual tour is £200 for groups of up to 30 participants.
Please get in touch with Sandie to check availability.
We look forward to resuming physical visits to the studios in due course and will update this page when we are able to welcome you to the studios safely.
