Screen Printed Masked Ceremony Character II
By Paige Denham
Limited edition of 6 screen printed by Paige in her London studio.
Printed onto recycled coffee cup paper and then posted out to you in biodegradable plastic sleeves. Fun, colourful AND good for the planet. Each one holds such a beautiful expression and a clever little over print dress (the yellow and the red makes the orange in this print!)
Influenced by masked ceremonies undertaken in the Republic of Congo, the Kuba people created masks to be worn at the initiation ceremonies of boys. The masks were formed to represent a wise older male, young boys becoming men and starting their lives while they are being watched over by elders who are now reaching the end of their lives.
Size- A4 (21x29.7cm)
