1st March 2018
London Craft Week returns to the city this forthcoming May for its third edition. Cockpit Arts is delighted to once again be a Craft Week partner and will be hosting an event at Leathersellers’ Hall on 9 May.
Hosted by curator, Brian Kennedy and Cockpit’s Head of Business Incubation, David Crump, this in-conversation morning will shine a spotlight on the many layers of support provided to makers by Cockpit Arts, its associates and the London Creative Network Programme. It will focus how we work hand-in-hand to help makers succeed in the market place and at the same time strengthen the craft economy in the UK.
Discussing their creative journeys will be artist in wood, Eleanor Lakelin and gallerist Sarah Myerscough; ceramic artist, David Marques and writer Corinne Julius; James Ducker and Deborah Carré of shoemakers Carréducker and designer Bill Amberg; ceramicist, Leah Jensen and gallerist Natalie Melton.
The event is free entry but tickets are limited – book now
