We are thrilled and excited to have been awarded a significant grant from the Weston Culture Fund to support our digital ambition here at Cockpit Arts.

The Garfield Weston Foundation, who administer the Fund, were particularly impressed by the entrepreneurial approach and creativity shown throughout the pandemic by the successful bidders. We’re very proud to be among this group, having made every effort to safeguard our community of 150 makers during a very difficult time.

The funding is for digital activity between now and 31 January 2022, including a digital infrastructure upgrade, re-vamping our website and training staff and makers for an exciting digital future. This investment will support us to better engage with our audiences and communities.

The Foundation have been greatly encouraged by the commitment of the cultural sector to emerge from the pandemic and to continue to inspire audiences in innovative ways across the UK. We are extremely pleased and proud to be a part of this.

We know that there were many worthy applications which could not be funded and wish those organisations the very best in securing the funds they need to continue their great work.

Watch this space as we develop our digital ambition – we hope you will join us on this exciting journey.
