From 3 – 7 May, the third annual London Craft Week will showcase exceptional craftsmanship from around the world through a programme of over 200 events across the city.

We are delighted to be hosting two tours of our craft incubators as part of the programme showcasing the work of six talented makers based at Cockpit.  However there also are many more Cockpit based makers involved in events during the Week. Read on to discover where to find them and start planning your London Craft Week.

3 May
Gallerist, curator and Cockpit’ Trustee, Sarah Myerscough, will host a guided tour of three studios at Cockpit in Holborn. See behind the scenes with ceramicist Claudia Wassiczek, product design duo Studio Ayaskan and artist-jeweller Katrin Spranger, and gain insight into their creative processes and practices.

4 May
Journalist and curator, Corinne Julius, will guide tour of a select group of makers based at Cockpit in Deptford. This will include discussions and insights into the practices of glass artist Shelley James, sculptural wood artist Eleanor Lakelin and ceramicist David Marques.
