I am fascinated when playing with objects and life. I find working with recycled materials fascinating as they come with their own preexisting life that works wonders for the imagination.
Alicia Britt trained at Wimbledon College of Art, graduating with a first in Technical Arts and Special Effects. It was there that she met the wonderful makers and performers at Little Angel Theatre in Islington through work experience. Alicia continues to visit as a freelance puppet technician for touring productions and as a workshop facilitator.
Alicia as a puppet maker went on to study performance under Sarah Wright, puppetry director of Kneehigh Theatre and Lyndie Wright, of Little Angel Theatre at renowned puppetry training course, Curious School of Puppetry.
She now works as a puppeteer, puppetry designer and maker as well as a director for puppetry, (Recent credits include assistant director of "The Fir Tree: Tales from Moomin Valley" at Norden Arts Farm Centre, and, puppetry consultancy for "Open" by Full Disclosure Theatre.)
