Biography

My designs are woven on a 16 shaft Harris Loom, using both traditional and experimental techniques and materials to create intricate fabrics that satisfy the senses.

Sophie Manners is an award winning textile designer specialising in hand-woven fabrics, creating unique and luxurious pieces for fashion, accessories and interiors.

After her MA in Textile Design at the Royal College of Art, Sophie worked for a silk mill in Como, Italy. In 2013 she started her own studio at Cockpit Arts in Holborn, London. Her work has been exhibited in London, Paris, New York and Hong Kong and is sold internationally.
