I'm fascinated by colour and take inspiration from travel, fashion and fine art. A recent trip to Palermo in Sicily inspired the colours for my latest collection.
Emma creates bold textile jewellery by fusing traditional techniques with sculptural forms and contemporary colours. Combining textiles with precious metals, she explores the idea of making a three-dimensional fabric through weaving, folding and knotting.
Ribbons are intricately folded by hand using a decorative knotting technique around a wire to give it structure and form. Each piece is then carefully finished with silverwork that complements the graphic shape of the textiles.
Recently Emma has developed her range of loom-woven jewellery, combining fine yarns with precious metal.
