Biography
I love working with gold, it gives me the freedom me to create beautiful pieces that are unrivalled in their intricacy; these are often set with specially selected one-of-a-kind gemstones.
Beth Gilmour is a graduate of Central Saint Martin’s (1st class hons) and the Royal College of Art, where she graduated with a master’s degree in 2005, in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
What defines Beth’s jewellery is her unparalleled fine detailing; the signature leaf patterns running through Beth’s collections have a fresh, quintessentially British aesthetic. Inspired by botanical structures and camouflage patterns in nature, her designs are both innovative and timeless. Another trademark theme is colour change in metal and stones, as seen in her ‘Dichroma’ collection using various gold alloys to echo the colour changes in a bi-coloured gem stone.
Beth has won her many awards and accolades; most recently she was selected to exhibit at RockVault an initiative organised by the British Fashion Council and curated by Stephen Webster. She is a regular exhibitor at the prestigious Goldsmiths Fair, London.
